Today, I’m sharing some deeply personal news with you all: I’m expecting. Even writing these words feels surreal, as the journey to reach this moment has been one of the most challenging experiences of my life. This post isn’t just about the announcement itself—it’s about the heartache, the struggle, and the hard-won resilience that has brought us here.

Navigating the Challenges
For those of you who have walked a similar path, you understand that it’s often filled with quiet battles that no one else can see. Our journey was marked by setbacks and heartache that, at times, felt almost unbearable. There were days when I questioned if we’d ever reach this point and nights spent wrestling with the weight of disappointment. Each setback seemed to drain a little more hope, making the dream of holding my baby feel distant, even impossible.
Yet, amid the tears and uncertainty, something inside me refused to give up. Every painful step forward taught me that hope is both fragile and fierce—it wanes in the face of struggle, but it never fully disappears. In those darkest moments, I found a strength I didn’t know I had, learning to carry the weight of hope, even when it felt heavy.
My support came from a small but cherished circle who truly understood. While some people around us couldn’t grasp the depth of what we were facing, this close group of loved ones provided the encouragement I needed. I felt isolated at times, but those feelings only deepened my gratitude for the few who stood by me, reminding me that I wasn’t alone in this journey.
Finding Strength in Self-Care
This experience has shown me how essential self-care is—not just physically, but emotionally. Alongside taking time for myself, I learned the importance of nourishing my body and spirit to support the hope that kept me going. Healthy eating became my foundation, not just for my physical well-being, but as a way to feel empowered and in control amidst uncertainty. I also turned to fertility acupuncture, a gentle and holistic practice that offered peace and balance in moments of doubt.
Through days when I felt overwhelmed, I leaned into simple, grounding rituals: a nourishing skincare routine, quiet reading, and a warm cup of tea on the balcony. These acts of self-care reminded me that, even when the world felt unpredictable, I could still find comfort in small, intentional moments. They were a lifeline, a way to feel a little more whole on days when everything felt fragile.

I hope that by sharing my journey, I can encourage others who are struggling to keep going. Even in those moments when hope feels dim, remember that it doesn’t disappear. You have the strength to carry on, one day at a time. Every small act of self-kindness can be a spark that helps you move forward.

Looking Forward
Today, I’m already 36 weeks along, and each morning, I wake up and can hardly believe I’ve moved one step closer to meeting our baby. For those who follow me on social media, you may have caught glimpses of this journey already. Thank you for being part of it. I look forward to sharing this new chapter with you all, from reflections on motherhood to the small joys that come with this imperfect, magical adventure. Here’s to never giving up hope, no matter how long and difficult the journey may be.
