Products To Get Glowy Skin This Winter

5 Steps To Winter Glowy Skin

From humidifiers and serums, to sleeping masks. Here are a few of my favorite products to help get you glowy skin this winter season.

Winter is my all-time favorite season. I love the holiday celebrations and the cold, brisk winter weather. It’s a nice change from the warm California sunshine. However, this winter season will look different this year. Yet, one thing will stay the same—the need to keep up with a solid winter beauty routine to combat dry winter skin.

From humidifiers and serums to sleeping masks. Here are a few of my favorite products to help get you to winter glowy skin.

1. Humidifier

A basic rule of thumb: the drier the air, the more dehydrated your skin will be. Investing in a top-notch humidifier is one of the best things you can do to combat dry winter skin. A solid humidifier can relieve the symptoms of dry winter skin by increasing the moisture level in the air. This helps your skin’s barrier to staying hydrated.

Be sure to keep the temperature cool or at a moderate temperature to avoid adding extra dryness into the air. Place the humidifier in the room where you spend the most time to maximize the benefits.

2. Laneige Water Sleeping Mask

I love this gel mask because it works incredibly well. And you don’t have to shell out hundreds of dollars to buy it! It contains many moisturizing ingredients to help nourish and hydrate your skin:

  • Hydro ionized mineral water to deliver high doses of moisture.
  • Calming Sleepscent™ infused with orange flower, rose, and sandalwood. This helps provide a scent to relax and comfort you during the night.
  • Apricot and evening primrose extracts to help brighten and purify your fatigued skin.

Apply a thin layer of this moisture recharging gel mask before bed. Your dehydrated skin will transform overnight as you catch up on your beauty rest. You’ll wake up to moisture-rich, soft, and glowy skin!

3. Drunk Elephant Virgin Marula Luxury Face Oil

Drunk Elephant’s Virgin Marula Luxury Face Oil should be a staple in your winter beauty routine. It contains marula oil which comes from the African Marula tree. The fermented fruit of the African Marula tree intoxicated elephants after digesting. Hence the name of this beauty brand “Drunk Elephant”

Marula oil contains plenty of powerful antioxidants and Omega 6 and 9. These ingredients not only help to moisturize and nourish your skin. But you’ll also restore a youthful-looking glow to your complexion. Studies show that Marula Oil improves the skin’s resistance to weather and external aggressors. It also helps reverse the effects of sun damage after continued use.

4. Herbivore Coco Rose Exfoliating Body Scrub

Throughout the winter season, humidity levels drop significantly. This causes your skin cells to dehydrate and dry out faster. The result is a buildup of dead skin cells on your skin’s surface. This is why you often have a dry and dull complexion during the winter season.

It’s essential to include exfoliation twice a week in your winter skincare routine. Applying this practice will help remove any surface skin cell build-up. You’ll see softer, smoother-looking skin after exfoliation. Dead skin cells block moisture from the layers of skin that need it. Regular exfoliation during the winter season helps to improve the effectiveness of moisturizers.

I absolutely love Herbivore’s Coco Rose Exfoliating Body Scrub. This incredible body scrub contains virgin coconut oil which is rich in proteins. Virgin coconut oil helps to contribute to cellular health and tissue repair. It also contains delicious smelling Moroccan rose! Moroccan rose contains antioxidant tocopherols, phenolics and beta carotenes. These ingredients help to fight aging and cellular damage in the skin.

After exfoliation, your skin will be soft and hydrated with a light scent of coconut and rose petals. This body scrub is also certified clean by Sephora which meets the industry’s standard for a clean beauty product.
